Doesn't that bird just look totally delicious! Well if you said yes than I am here to say you are so right! It was amazing...so amazing there wasn't a single piece of chicken left after dinner was over.  I couldn't believe how something as simple as soaking a chicken in a soy sauce brine would change the flavor and give me such a moist delicious meal.  I put all of the ingredients into my pot first thing in the morning and it was ready to go at supper time, just rinse,  place it in a pan and sprinkle with seasoning salt. I added some potatoes and carrots around the edges so we had a complete meal out of the over in around 45 minutes. And since I lined the pan with foil it was a no mess clean up too.

Want to try it for yourself? Here is the exact recipe I used on my chicken (and plan to try on turkey for Christmas dinner).

Kikkoman Recipe Savory Chicken BrineIngredients for a 5-6 pound bird1 gallon cold water
3/4 c Kikkoman Soy Sauce
3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Kosher Salt
1 tablespoon dried sage
1 tablespoon dried celery seed
1 tablespoon dried thyme
In a large stock pot pour the water and all other ingredients and stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved.  Put the chick in the brine and cover.  Refrigerate at least 4 hours.  The longer, the better! Remove the chicken from the brine and rinse it in and out.  Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of seasoned salt over it and bake at 400° for 45 minutes.  Remove, cut, serve, and devour. For more information on Kikkoman visit: http://bit.ly/OfxP73Kikkoman on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/TFGDYO Disclosure: I am a Smiley360 Blogger and was provided with Kikkoman Soy Sauce and a few kitchen aids for my post.  No other form of compensation was received and all thoughts/opinions are my own.
